OUR BELIEFS
-
The Word of God - The Holy Scriptures
We believe that the Holy Bible comprised of 66 books, 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament, to be complete in its entirety with no further revelation needed nor being given. We believe it is the sole and final authority for faith and practice, by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions shall be tried. We believe the Bible’s inerrant and infallible word to be verbally and plenary inspired of God and is preserved for the English-speaking people in the King James 1611 Bible. (Romans 10:17; 2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:21)
-
The Trinity
We believe that there is one living and true God, who is the beginning and ending of all things, eternally existing in three persons; Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit; that these are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption. (Matthew 28:19; 1 Peter l:2; 1 John 5:7)
-
Creation
We believe that God created the universe and all therein, in six, literal, consecutive, 24-hour days. We reject any theory contrary to this belief such as, but not limited to: Evolution, the Gap Theory, the Day-Age Theory, Theistic Evolution, etc. (Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 2:7)
-
The Sin of Man
We believe that man was created in holiness, under the law of his Maker. By voluntary transgression, man fell from that holy and happy state. In consequence of which, all mankind are now sinners, not by constraint but by choice. Man is now by nature utterly void of holiness required by the law of God, and is positively inclined to evil. Therefore, man is under just condemnation to eternal ruin, without defense or excuse. (Genesis 1:27, 31; 3:6-24; 6:12; Psalm 51:5; Ecclesiastes 7:29; Isaiah 53:6; Ezekiel 3:19; 18:19-20; John 3:6; Romans 1:18, 31; 2:1-6; 3:9-18; 5:12, 19; Ephesians 2:13)
-
Salvation
We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly of God's grace and not of works. We believe that Christ died as a substitutionary sacrifice, was buried, and rose again for the justification of sinners. We believe the blood of Christ alone cleanses from sin. We believe that the Holy Spirit saves those who repent of their sins, call upon Christ and trust in Him as their Savior. (John 1:12, 13; 3:18, 19; Romans 3:10; 4:4, 5; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4; Galatians 3:26; Ephesians 1:7; 2:8, 9)
-
The Eternal Security
We believe in the eternal security of the believer. That is to say, once saved - always saved. According to scripture, it is impossible for a born-again child of God to lose their salvation. (John 1:12; 10:28-29; Romans 8:35-39; Philippians 1:6; 2 Timothy 2:19; I Peter 1:3-5; Jude 24)
-
The Church
We believe in the visible church, which is a called-out assembly of believers in Jesus Christ, scripturally baptized on a profession of faith and are associated for worship, work, and fellowship. We believe that the local church must carry out the great commission. We believe that local churches are independent, autonomous, and separate from the state. (Matthew 16:18; Acts 1:8; 1 Timothy 3:1-15)
-
Christian Conduct
We believe that Christians should live for the glory of God and the wellbeing of the brothers and sisters in Christ and that their conduct should be blameless before the world.
We believe that each should be a faithful steward of all possessions, and that they should seek to realize for themselves and others the full stature of maturity in Christ. (Luke 16:1-17; Romans 6:1-13; 1 Corinthians 4:2; 2 Corinthians 6:17; Ephesians 5:9-11; 1 John 2:15-17)
-
The Second Coming
We believe in "the blessed hope,” the personal, imminent, pre-millennial and pre-tribulational return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for His Church, referred to as "Rapture" by Bible believers today. We believe in the second coming of Christ; the personal and visible return of our Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body of the regenerate to eternal life and blessedness; furthermore, the unregenerate are destined to everlasting conscious suffering in a real and literal hell to be eternally separated from God. (Mark 9:43-48; Luke 16:19-31; John 14:3; Acts 1:2; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; Revelation 3:10)
-
Satan
We believe that Satan is real; that he is the author of sin. He is the open and declared enemy of God and man, and he shall be eternally punished in the lake of fire. Satan has two primary goals: To prevent the lost from coming to Christ, and to render the believer ineffective. (Isaiah 14:12-17; Matthew 4:1-11; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Revelation 20:14, 15)
-
Marriage & Human Sexuality
We believe that there are only two genders (Male and Female) and as such the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:24; Genesis 5:1-2; Romans 7:2; 1 Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 5:22-23)
